#HappilyEverAul

When Amber told me she'd been telling Josh to message me, I was afraid she was forcing him to take me on a date. Then, when he first messaged me on Facebook, I was surprised by how interested I was in him. I've never been that excited to check Facebook for a message. I was so nervous before the first date; I tried on at least 7 outfits before he picked me up.
When Josh picked me up, the first thing I noticed was how handsome he was and how pretty-blue his eyes were. He was truly funny, and he made me laugh more sincerely than anyone ever had. All I could think the whole night was how badly I just wanted him to like me.
At Applebee's, we had a great dinner, and we bonded over our mutual love for the same movies and books (mostly Harry Potter and Marvel Avengers). We continued our date at Daily Grind, and when I asked what he wanted, he said, "Something vanilla-y." It was so cute. We sat and talked for a long time, and I was so afraid I was boring him (little did I know he was already going head-over-heels).
Then, we took me home and we sat and talked for hours more. Even though it was a Thursday and Josh had to work the next day, he didn't leave until after 12:30. After he left, I stayed up telling my mom and Amber all about how great the night had been. It was the first perfect date I've ever had.
Everyone knows we only dated 4 months before we got engaged, but for me the answer was as obvious as 1+1=2. We had already picked out a ring, and I knew he was going to propose when we went to New York in December. But then, during August I thought he was going to do it at a family cookout, and then again I thought it was going to happen when he took me to Gervassi for dinner. After he didn't propse either of those times, I knew it would be in New York.
So when he told me we were going to dinner with his friends and that his one friend was proposing that night, I was completely shocked when I walked out onto the patio at his house. I saw all the rose petals throughout his house, the music playing, the lights hanging above, and Josh standing in the middle of the patio. Then, he dropped down and proposed, and I couldn't believe it.
Everything with Josh is easy, and that's how I know it's right. I feel so complete with him and so empty when he's not around. The way our relationship is so easy is the way it's supposed to be, and I always have fun with him. I can't wait to be his wife and finally start our life together.
